Saturday, November 10th, at Hippodrome de Montréal, Way to Heaven, a 7 year old horse owned by Norman Dessureault of Écurie Dessureault, placed first at the second race with a time of 1:57.2.
At Mr. Dessureault’s request, a sports massage of about thirty minutes had been performed on the horse one hour before the warm-up session by Sylvie Lebœuf, of Massages Équins Sy-El.
After the warm-up, Way to Heaven seemed to be more relaxed than usual, and Mr. Dessureault, very satisfied with the experience, entered the track to run the race. You know the outcome.
Although the massage was not the only factor that helped Way to Heaven win the race, it has clearly contributed to it. By allowing Way to Heaven to be massaged, Mr. Dessureault’s chances were higher and he was able to race a much more performing horse that achieved the results we all know!
Congratulations to Norman Dessureault and Way to Heaven! |
